Transportation to Airport from Nha Trang City Center

Nha Trang Airport

Nha Trang Airport, which is close to the center of Nha Trang city, is not used for flights for a while. Those who want to travel to different parts of Vietnam and the rest of the world by leaving the city center may prefer Cam Ranh International Airport, which is located about 30 kilometers outside the city. When traveling from Nha Trang city center to Cam Ranh Airport, you can take advantage of affordable buses, use the more costly but more convenient and faster taxis, or complete your trip to the airport by choosing alternatives such as airport shuttle and rental car.

Bus

Traveling to Cam Ranh Airport by buses departing from the city center is the most convenient and cheapest transportation alternative, with fares ranging from 30.000 to 40.000 Vietnam Dong. Buses departing from the center of the city take their passengers to the front of Cam Ranh Airport terminal in about 40-45 minutes. You can purchase your ticket for the bus from the sales points in the city center or on the bus with the local currency. The most important disadvantage of buses compared to taxis and other vehicles is that they only depart from certain points, and as a result, it is difficult to carry your stuff from many points of Nha Trang to the bus stop. You can get off the bus at the terminal and go directly to Cam Ranh Airport.

Taxi

Taxis are among the first choices, especially of foreign visitors, when travelling from Nha Trang to Cam Ranh International Airport. If you do not have heavy suitcases with you to carry along to Cam Ranh International Airport, keep in mind that you can share the cab with other passengers going in the same direction and thus reduce the fare you would pay, but still have a comfortable ride.

Car Rental

Although the city center is not rich in terms of car rental options, there are a few alternatives, including especially local rental companies. If you rent your car in Nha Trang, you can follow the airport signs that you can see along the way to travel to Cam Ranh International Airport. If you prefer renting your car from one of the car rental offices at or around the airport, you can easily deliver your car at the airport after arriving at the terminal and take your flight from here. The large car park located at the terminal of Cam Ranh International Airport provides for passengers arriving by rental or private vehicle slots that can be used on an hourly, daily and weekly basis.

Private Shuttles

Another alternative to get to Cam Ranh International Airport directly from the center of Nha Trang is the private shuttles, which are usually preferred by those going to the airport with their families or in large groups. Those staying at a hotel in or around the city center can also make benefit of the private shuttles. In order to do this, you should inform your hotel about the date and hour of the day you will be travelling at and the number of total passengers, and benefit a fast journey to Cam Ranh airport with these comfortable vehicles by asking one to pick you up from your hotel. Thanks to the affordable fares, private shuttles are also among the preferred means of transportation by the local people. Thus, travelling with a private shuttle also offers you to get to know the local people better.
