San Francisco International is the second busiest airport in California, following Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Train

There are two rail systems that you can use to get to San Francisco International Airport from the city center. The first is the rapid-rail system, the BART. The BART starts running in the early hours of the morning, providing easy and fast transportation between SFO and the northern and southern parts of the city.

The other rail system that you can use to get to SFO is the CalTrain. This train departs on the hour, every hour, every day of the week, until 10 pm. This train provides transportation between San Francisco and San Jose and SFO.

SamTrans buses provide transportation between the San Francisco city center and the airport. These public buses are operated by San Mateo County and run between San Mateo, various parts of San Francisco and San Francisco International Airport. SamTrans lines KX, 292, 397, and 398 run directly to the airport terminals. Buses stop at the arrivals and baggage claim level of Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 and at Level 1 of the International Terminal.

Bus

If you are not in a hurry and have enough time to get to the city center from the airport, bus is the most convenient option. The Spanish bus company ALSA, which offers service in the city, also provides service for carrying passengers to the city center. Bus route 19 is the only bus you can use to get to the city center. It is also very easy to reach this bus. You can see the bus stop just outside of the airport. Bus route 19 offers easy and comfortable transportation service to Marrakech's regions called the new city and the old city.

Tickets prices for the buses departing every 30 minutes in front of the airport are 30 dirhams for single use. If you will buy a round-trip ticket, the amount you need to pay is 50 dirhams. Bus route 19 offers service 7 days a week and it operates from 06:15 am to 09:30 pm. If you will choose getting on a bus to reach the city center, you have to be at the airport between these hours. Another advantage of the buses offering easy transportation thanks to the bus stops in the central districts of the city is that they are cheaper than the taxis.

Taxi

Another option you can evaluate for travelling to the city center from Marrakech Airport is the taxi. The taxis are waiting for their passengers just outside of the airport. Those who don’t want to use the bus option can have a comfortable and quick travel by taxi. When we consider that there are not many options to get to the city center, taxi is a very good alternative for those who have limited time. However, don’t forget that the amount you will pay will be higher compared to bus. Taxi drivers generally start bargaining from 20 dollars. Therefore, you should be good at bargaining about the fare. The taxis accept maximum 4 passengers. If you find three passengers going to the city center, you will reduce your transportation cost.

Car Rental

You can also rent a car in order to reach the city center in a comfortable way. From various companies, you can receive this service. If you get in contact with one of the car rental companies before your arrival, you can receive your car without waiting and take the road to the city center easily.
