About Bamburi
Bamburi is a district of Mombasa, which is the second largest city in Kenya. Bamburi is popular for its beaches and hotels. It is one of the most remarkable areas of Mombasa and one of the most important ports and tourism cities in the east of Africa. It is also located in Jomo Kenjat, one of Mombasa's most famous beaches, in Bamburi, which has the largest cement processing and production area in Africa which is operated by the world-famous building materials company Lafarge.
The diving center of Mombasa, which is home to the world's most famous and colourful underwater world, is also located off the Bamburi coast. The diving center called Mombasa Marine Park also draws attention with its coral reefs. From the Ottoman to the Sultanate of Oman, the port city has always attracted attention with its history. In Mombasa, it has been under control and ruled by many states from Portugal to the Sultanate of Zanzibar. One of the two airports is located in Bamburi.
From Moi Airport which is in the north of the island of Mombasa, more international flights take place. While from Bamburi Airport in Bamburi, only local flights are available. Bamburi Airport is located 12 kilometers from the center of Mombasa and is 3 kilometers from the center of Bamburi.
