About Fujairah

Fujairah City, the capital of the Fujairah emirate in the UAE, is the seventh-largest city in the country. Positioned on the east coast along the Gulf of Oman, it stands as the only Emirati capital on this side.
Nestled at the base of the Hajar Mountains, Fujairah City is a thriving industrial and commercial center on the west coast of the Indian Ocean. With a population of 118,933 as of 2023, it serves as a key hub with its main airport, Fujairah International Airport, mainly handling cargo traffic.
The city has landmarks like the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, accommodating 28,000 worshippers, and historical sites such as the Fujairah Fort and Museum, exhibiting artifacts from the sixth millennium BC to the present day.
Fujairah also hosts a unique form of bullfighting on Friday afternoons, where two bulls engage without matadors or harm to the animals. The city's major hotels are conveniently located around Hamad Bin Abdulla Road and Al Corniche Road.
