About Mogilev

Mogilev, a city of the Republic of Belarus, is on the banks of the Dnieper River. According to 2011 data, the population is about 360 thousand; Mogilev is the third largest city of Belarus. When it was first established, Mogilev was a castle; it became a city while it was under the rule of Lithuania and then joined the territory of Russia. Over time, Mogilev became an important commercial center, and after World War II it became an industrial center for the production of synthetic fibers, electric motors and various consumer goods.

One of the city's icons is St. Stanislav's Cathedral. The cathedral, built in 14 years with 6 columns with Baroque style, is gaining importance with its energetic and remarkable frescoes. Another striking symbol of the city is the municipal hall built in the 17th century. The building, which was highly damaged in the wars, was demolished in 1957 and rebuilt in 2008. The city has a high humidity; the temperature of 23 degrees Celsius in June may fall to -3 degrees Celsius in January.

The distance between Mogilev Airport and Mogilev, which is one of the historical cities of Belarus and whose population mainly consists of students, is 19.6 kilometers. The ticket price of this bus route is 6.3 BR and it offers service until 05:15 pm.

Trolleybus

Trolleybus passes through a stop that is close to Mogilev Airport. You can reach the stop by walking and it is about 1 kilometers away from the airport terminal.
