About Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam's largest island, is located within the administrative borders of KienGiang province. There are two counties and eight communes in Phu Quoc, where a population of 100,000 people lives. The island, which has many beautiful beaches, holiday villages, and hotels, is known as a favorite place for tourists. Located 40 kilometers from the coast of Vietnam, the island is located 12 kilometers off the coast of Cambodia. The island has two airports which welcome many tourists throughout the year, and the local cuisine is widely-known for its dishes made with fish sauce and black pepper. Unsurprisingly, many of the island's inhabitants rely on fishing to make a living, and pepper cultivation is widespread as well. However,  the tourism industry is the main pillar of the city's economy. Beaches, accommodation and the tourism sector are open year round. The monsoon season on the island is influenced by the lower equatorial climate.

There are two seasons : rainy and dry. The annual temperature value is almost the same every month, with an average of 25 degrees Celsius. The raniest months are from June to November, so plan your vacation accordingly.
