Transportation to Airport from Aberdeen City Center

Aberdeen Airport is accessible by taxi, bus, or train. These transportation alternatives are available all day. If you want to drive to the airport there are a lot of rental car companies located in the city that you could rent a vehicle from.

Taxi

Taxis are a convenient transportation alternative to get to the airport from the city. Under normal traffic conditions, it takes about 20 minutes to get to Aberdeen Airport by taxi. If you are traveling at night, when the traffic is bad and finding a cab gets a bit more difficult, we would recommend giving yourself an hour to get to the airport.

Bus

Buses are another method of transportation that provide direct service to the airport. Bus line 727 and line 80 depart from the Aberdeen Central Bus Station and go directly to the terminal building. These buses run every 15 to 20 minutes and operate from 4:30 am to 12 am.

Rental Car

There are various transportation alternatives available all day in Aberdeen but renting a car is one of the most convenient alternatives. There are many well-known rental car companies located throughout the city, including Avis and Hertz. Driving in Aberdeen is particularly beautiful and enjoyable.

Airport Information

Aberdeen International Airport is also referred to as Dyce Airport because it is located in the suburb of Dyce. The airport operates passenger services out of one terminal building. Aberdeen Airport operates scheduled and charter flights around the world and offers passengers a variety of services to meet their pre-flight and post-flight needs. The terminal building also features a variety of novelties for passengers to enjoy. Passengers can enjoy wireless internet access throughout the entire airport. In case of an emergency or health problem there are staff members who are trained in first aid at the health center.

The building is equipped with five separate baby care rooms for mothers traveling with children as well as two play areas for kids. Granite City bar and restaurant is a popular venue among passengers. In addition, there are two spacious lounges where passengers can enjoy themselves. There are 6 ATMs available for any monetary transactions or currency services you might need in pounds, euros, and dollars.

There is a designated smoking area for smokers since smoking is prohibited indoors. There are a number of stores where you can go shopping at the airport, including Boots, Dixons Travel, Travelex, WHSmith and World Duty Free. Places where you can get a bite to eat or something to drink include The Granite City, Joe's Coffeehouse, The Kitchen, The Globe, Costa and Servisair Lounge.

Transportation to Cadiz City Center from Airport

Cadiz Airport

There is no airport in Cadiz, which is a port city. While the closest airport is Jerez Airport, Sevilla International airport is preferred as it has more inbound flights.

If your plane is landing at Jerez Airport, the airport is around 45 km away from Cadiz. It’s possible to get to the city by taxi but this would cost you 50 euros. It's possible to reach Cadiz in 30 minutes under normal traffic conditions by renting a car and following the A4 highway. You can easily find car rental agencies in the baggage claim area. The cost of the car may depend on the type, size, and extra features of the car, but it’s possible to rent a car per day for 11 euro. You can also reach Cadiz by taking the train from the station to the west of Jerez Airport. The journey takes 46 minutes.

There are also shuttle buses going from the airport directly to Cadiz. If the prices of these shuttle buses seem to high for you, then you can take this or the taxi to the city centre, and then continue by public bus services once you are there. The total travelling time can go up to 1 hour.  

If you decide to reach Cadiz through Sevilla International Airport, then the most comfortable and practical alternative is to rent a car. You can find car rental agency desks in the ground floor of the main terminal. If you take the AP4 or A4 road you should reach Cadiz in about an hour and a half. There is a train station quite close to Sevilla International Airport. By using the free services from the airport, you can reach this station and from here take a train going to Cadiz. There are frequent departure times from this station and the journey takes approximately 2 and a half hours. Buses going to Cadiz don’t leave from the airport but you can take a bus or taxi to the city centre and take a bus going to Cadiz from there. The journey by bus to Cadiz from Sevilla city centre takes around 2 hours. You can get to central Sevilla for 30 euro by taxi or 4 euro by bus.

When planning your journey you shouldn’t forget that taxi fares are higher during the weekends in Spain, and that they charge extra for each of your luggage items. You will also need an internationally recognised drivers licence to rent a car.
