It is possible to get from downtown Albuquerque to the airport by taxi in only 10 minutes.  

Train

To drive to the airport with your hired vehicle, take the Gibson Boulevard or the Girard Avenue to connect to the Yale Boulevard. There are separate bus routes from the city centre to the airport. Bus route 50 is an express service that reaches the airport usually within 25 minutes. Bus route 36 stops at various points in the city, and for that reason, takes on average 50 minutes.

You can take the shuttle services departing every 5 to 20 minutes from the 5th floor of the airport car park, from the car rental center or in front of the passenger terminal depending on the crowdedness.
