Airport Information

Publicly known as Algiers International Airport, Houari Boumediene International Airport is located 20 kilometers southeast of Algeria. The airport serves its passengers with two terminal buildings, one for domestic flights and one for international flights.

In addition to restaurants and cafés, there are various services such as pharmacy, bookstore, hairdresser, currency exchange office and ATM at the airport. There a lounge available for passengers who don't want to sacrifice their comfort while waiting for their flight. If you need to do shopping, you can visit the duty-free store and souvenir shops. Dortmund Airport is located 10 km east of the city center. There are a variety of transportation alternatives to get to Dortmund city center from the airport, including taxis, buses, and trains.

The airport isn’t directly served by train. However a transportation alternative is to take bus number 440 to the Aplerbeck Station and then transfer to the U47 rail line. You can also take the AirportShuttle to the Holzwickede Station and transfer to a train to the city.

Rental Car

Renting a car is another convenient way to get to the city center from the airport. Rental car companies that have offices at the airport include Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, and Thrifty Car Rental.
