Rail System

Passing through Monastiraki and Sintagma, located in the city center, the M3 line takes you directly to the Airport. However, from the Omonoia Square you can get on the M1 line to get to Monastiraki switching to line M2 which will get you to Sintagma from where you can get on a bus to the airport. 

The M3 line also can get you to important places like the Benaki museum, Athens Academy and Athens Concert hall.

Private Vehicle

Athens, unlike western European cities, does not have orderly streets and boulevards. You can get to the Airport via private vehicle in 30 to 40 minutes and park it in the 1360 capacity parking lot.

Bus

By taking one of the buses waiting 50 meters from the Halmstad City Airport terminal exit you can reach Halmstad city center. Bus number 40 provides transportation between Brogard and Flygstaden, while number 350 runs between Falkenberg and Halmstad. The one-way ticket fare for bus number 40, which would reach the city center of Halmstad in 5-10 minutes from the airport, would be around 22-35 Swedish Krona as of 2016. The stops of the line are as follows: Halmstad City Airport, Vastrevangsleden, Mickedala, Rotorp, Vaderogatan, Vindilsvagen, Vasterbro, Arkitektgatan, Fridhemsparken and Halmstad Stora Torg (last stop). This bus, which departs every 30 minutes, makes it much easier to get from the airport to the city center of Halmstad.

Taxi

If you have landed at a late hour or have missed the bus, you can use the taxis waiting outside the terminal. Although it is more expensive than public transport, given that the distance to the city center is quite short the taxi fares can be considered as reasonable. By taxi from Halmstad City Airport you can reach the city center by paying around 95-120 Swedish Krona. Car Rental

If you are renting a car just to travel from the airport to the city center of Halmstad, it would not be wrong to say that you would make a loss. Since the distance between the two is 4.2 kilometers, you will use the car you have rented for 1 day for a maximum of 1 hour. If you are planning to stay longer in the city, renting a car will definitely be beneficial. Halmstad City Airport is an international airport and there are more than one national and international car rental companies serving here. Some of those are Avis, Europcar and Hertz. You can rent a car and reach Halmstad city center in just 5 to 8 minutes.

Bicycle

This ultra-cheap transportation option provided by Halmstad City Airport is suitable for those passengers who do not carry much with them. There is a long bicycle route starting from the airport, going to the city. After renting your bicycle at the airport, you need to follow the bicycle route at the exit. Although the duration of this journey would vary according to your speed, it is possible to reach the city center in 20-25 minutes on average.
