Airport Buses

The Silver Line 1 bus service provides transportation to Logan International Airport from the city center. Rail

Harvard University, the city center, and Cambridge are located along the Red Line, which runs from the north of the city to the south of the city. You can also take the Blue Line, which can be accessed from State Street Station, to the Airport Station. The Airport Station is located in close proximity to the airport. Taxis are easy to find anywhere in the city and they are a convenient transportation alternative to get to the airport. Since the airport is located in such close proximity to the city center, about 5 km away, it is also considerably close to other important parts of the city like Harvard University, MIT, and the University of Massachusetts.

Car

The city center can be confusing to navigate but there are two tunnels that run under the Boston Canal, making the airport easily accessible by car. One of these tunnels is closer to the city center and is where the SL1 buses connect to the Red Line. To connect to this tunnel, which is located to the east of canal, take Summer Street, to Congress Bridge. After passing the bridge you can access the tunnel from Congress Street. The other tunnel is accessible by taking Merrimac Street north to New Chardon Street, which is on the right. This road will pass by Haymarket Square and take you directly to the west tunnel. This tunnel connects you to George Visconti Road, which provides direct access to the airport.

Airport Information

Handling more than 30 million passengers a year, Logan International Airport is one of the most important airports in the East of the United States. The airport contains a variety of services from children’s play areas to exhibition grounds, a September 11th memorial and recreation areas.

Another option is to rent a car. It is possible to get to the city center from Tan Son Nhat Airport in 30 minutes by bus and in a maximum of 10 minutes by other means of transportation.

Bus

Go out when you arrive at the arrival terminal of the airport, and there you will see the stops of the direct buses to the city center. You can get on bus number 152 by purchasing your ticket immediately from the offices. These light cream and green colored minibus sized buses depart every 30 minutes from Tan Son Nhat Airport to the famous Ben Tanh Market, which is a 15-minute walk from to the city center. It is economical and easy to go to the city center by bus number 152, which runs between 6 am and 6 pm. The single-use fare is only 30 cents as of 2017. In addition to this, bus number 109, operated by SATSCO which runs every 15-20 minutes, provides access to the city center from Tan Son Nhat Airport. The bus number 109, which provides transportation services from 05.30 in the morning to 01.30 at night, departs from the column 18 of the domestic terminal and the column 15 of the international terminal and arrives at Ben Thanh Station within 45 minutes. Taxi

If you are going to stay in Ho Chi Minh for a few days, you might benefit from renting a car. Because renting a car on an hourly basis is generally not possible. It would take 10-12 minutes to reach Ho Chi Minh City center by the car you book in advance and pick up as soon as you land.
