Airport Information

Bursa Yenişehir Airport, which is 50 kilometers from the city center, was firstly opened as a military airport in Yunuseli neighborhood and then, the airport served for cargo planes. The airport has been opened to civil air traffic in 2001.

At the airport, it is possible to fly to Ankara as well as you can reach other cities of Turkey through Ankara. International flights are also arranged at the airport to get to Dusseldorf (Germany), Kuwait and Nicosia (Cyprus). The airport, which was built on 5.600-squaremeter area, has a capacity of 2 million 250 thousand passengers.  

Since there is no airport providing civil flights in Wiesbaden, Frankfurt am Main Airport, which is the closest international airport to the city, is used for reaching the city. You can easily get to Wiesbaden city center which is located 30 kilometers of the airport by using a taxi or renting a car. It is also very easy to reach Wiesbaden city center by train from Frankfurt Airport in Germany which has a very developed railway network.

There are always taxis waiting for their passengers at the airport. If you have enough budget, you can travel to Wiesbaden city center by taxi. You should keep in mind that the distance is about 30 kilometers. All taxis have taximeter devices and fares are determined according to a standard tariff.

Car Rental

There are well-known car rental companies offering service at the airport. You can easily rent a car from the Car Rental Center located in Terminal 1. You can reach Wiesbaden city center by driving westward through the highway A3 or A66 with the car you have rented. Travelling to the city center by renting a car lasts about 20-25 minutes.

Train

You can easily get to Wiesbaden Central Railway Station by using the train routes S8 and S9 of S-Bahn. You can get on one of these trains from Terminal 1. The trains depart every 15 minutes and the travel lasts about 35-40 minutes. The trains offer a more budget-friendly transportation compared to taxis or rental cars. Since they are also very comfortable, they are among the most preferred transportation alternatives for many passengers.
