Al Dock, Opera, Sedat (Tahrir) and Naguib are the metro stations close to the center.

You need to transfer to the Green Line at Attaba station from Yellow Line, which hosts the above mentioned stations.

Even if it does not reach the airport yet, you can get off at the Abbasiye station and complete the 15 kilometers distance by taxi or bus number 111. It is also possible to reach the airport by buses 27, 111, 356 from Tahrir Square where Sedat metro station is located.

Private Vehicle

Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

Bus

Buses are a convenient transportation alternative to get to the city center from Detroit Metro Airport. Buses depart from in front of both terminals and provide transportation to the city center. Bus services depart from the Ground Transportation Center at both the North Terminal and McNamara Terminal. It takes about 1 hour to get to the city center from the airport by bus.

Another way to get to the city center is by private transfer. There are various companies in Detroit that offer private transfer services. The fees for these services vary according to the service company you use and the distance traveled. However, in general private transfer services are cheaper than taxi services but more expensive than bus services. Private transfer services are usually preferred by large tour groups or corporate employees traveling on business. Hotel Shuttles

Hotel shuttle services are not a very common or preferred transportation alternative in Detroit, however they are available as a method of transportation to get to the city center from the airport.
