Although it is a great merit to use private vehicles in Cairo, which is similar to Istanbul with regards to its traffic and size, there may be people who want to reach the airport by private vehicles. To do this, you have to follow the Oroba road, in the east direction, to go to the airport from Zamalek island and Tahrir in the city center.

Oroba route will take you to Airport Road, which will provide you with access to the airport, after 17 kilometers.

Car Rental

You can rent a car at the airport. It is suggested for travelers to rent a car with a driver due to the fact that traffic in Surabaya is always intense and the traffic rules are not followed much. If you are going to drive the car yourself, go towards north on the Raya Malang way to go the city center. You can reach the city center within half an hour.

Shuttle Bus

Shuttle buses of Damri Company can take you to Bungurasih Bus Terminal in just 15 minutes. By using the buses there, you can reach not only the city center of Surabaya, but also by many different points of the city or the surrounding cities. Shuttle bus ticket price is 20,000 rupees. Please note that the public buses you will use are very crowded. If you have a large suitcase or more than one suitcase, it is not recommended to use this transportation alternative.
