Melville Hall Airport, also known as Douglas-Charles Airport, is situated in Marigot on the northeast coast of Dominica. The airport is 3.2 km northeast of central Marigot, 5 km northeast of Roseau, and 1 hour away from the second largest city in Dominica, Portsmouth. It’s one of the two airports in Dominica (the other is Canefield Airport). There’s a consolidated car rental system (CONRAC) in New Orleans Louis Armstrong International in a separate location to the terminal building. You can choose a car that’s suited for you budget there from 9 separate agencies. To get to CONRAC you should use the exit next to the baggage reclaim belt 12 - 14 and walk a short distance. To get to the city center from the airport you should follow the I-10 W motorway and it should take around 20 minutes to reach the city center.
Bus
If you prefer to use public transport then you can reach the city center in around 40 minutes by taking the 202 bus. The ticket price is $ 1.50.
