Transportation to Airport from Entebbe City Center
Entebbe Intl. Airport
The city center and Entebbe International Airport are very close to each other and you can easily get to the airport. Although there is no public transportation service to the airport, you can take a taxi at affordable prices for transportation to the airport.
If you prefer, you can also get to the airport very easily by renting a car in the city center. Transfer services provided by a private company is another alternative you can take. Although the airport is so close to the city center, you need to set off taking the potential heavy traffic in Entebbe into consideration and be careful about timing.
Taxi
You can easily get a taxi in Entebbe city center. If you don’t have a luggage or if you are traveling with a hand luggage, you can also prefer the motorbike taxis called Boda Boda. Since there is no taximeter available in the taxis, you should bargain with the driver about the taxi fare and you shouldn’t do the payment in advance. Entebbe International Airport is the most important and largest airport not only in Entebbe but also in Uganda. Entebbe International Airport is located on the banks of Lake Victoria, in the immediate vicinity of Entebbe city center. The airport is 41 kilometers away from Kampala and regular minibus services are arranged between Kampala and the airport. The airport has a post office, safe deposit box, cash dispensers and banks.

Rental Cars

Public Transportation Smart Cards
There are 3 different public transportation cards in Amsterdam, the OV-chipkaart, Amsterdam card and Amsterdam Ragion Card. These cards are used on public transportation for fare payment. You can purchase one of these cards at the station, with tram drivers, kiosks, or tourist offices. Every time you use the OV card you have to swipe as you enter and exit; if you don’t swipe your card as you exit it loses its validity. The I amsterdam City Card provides unlimited access to public transportation systems in the city for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days as well as free or discounted entry to museums and other attractions. Bike
The most common means of transportation in Amsterdam is cycling. From young children to the elderly, everyone travels by bike. There are bike parking stations located almost everywhere in the city. There are convenient and easy bike rental spots located all over the city, like in Dam Square, and bike paths and lamps everywhere. Tram
While there is a metro network in Amsterdam it is generally used for transportation to and from locations outside of the city. Since there is a parking problem in the city and because parking is very expensive biking or taking the tram are more preferable modes of transportation.
