Apart from public transport, taxis also provide fast transportation in the city. The taximeter starts running at 2 euros and charges 1.5 euros per 1 km. Taxis are usually easy to find in the city.

Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport is Germany’s second largest airport after Stuttgart Airport. The airport is located 40 km from Karlsruhe city center. It takes between 35 and 60 minutes to get to the city from the airport, depending on what method of transportation you use. You can get to the city center by bus, train, taxi, or rental car.

Bus

Buses are one of the easiest ways to get to the city center from the airport. The bus network in Karlsruhe is well developed, conveniently connecting the city and its surroundings. Buses in Karlsruhe run half an hour longer in the summer months, which are from March to October, and run from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm during the winter season.
