The airport isn’t directly served by train, however the Doncaster Station is located only 11 km away. The trains operate from 5:40 am to 11:25 pm on weekdays and run every 30 minutes. On weekends the trains operate from 7:02 am to 9:49 pm and run every hour. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Sheffield city center from Doncaster Station by train.

Rental Car

Renting a car is another convenient transportation alternative to get to the city center from the airport. Traffic to the city and in the city is considerably light. This, coupled with the fact that public transportation alternatives do not provide direct service makes renting a car an even more attractive option.
