Havaş

Havaş shuttles that take off from Çeşme, Alsancak, Karşıyaka-Mavişehir and Kuşadası are the most preferred means of transportation to the airport.

The airport is located about 30 kilometers east of the city. The town, called Chrysoupolis, is very close to the airport. As there is no railway station near the city, it is also very difficult to reach the city center using public transportation. You can also prefer to benefit from the buses providing transportation between the airport and the city center. It is very difficult to catch the express bus lines that depart twice a day on weekdays at 06:15 and 18:15 and on Saturdays at 07:10 and 19:15; on Sundays and holidays the express bus line only serves at 19:15. Express buses reach the city center in about half an hour. The buses following the long route do not have regular departure times.

Taxi

Finding a taxi at the airport is easier compared to finding a bus. Compared to European standards, taking a taxi in Kavala is much more affordable. Therefore, taking a taxi is one of the most convenient options you can prefer to reach the city center from the airport.
