Located in the Gaziemir district, 18 km from the city center, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport is accessible by Havaş shuttles, public buses, train, taxi or personal car. You can also rent a car from various car rental agencies at the airport or in various locations in the city.

Havaş

Havaş shuttles that take off from Çeşme, Alsancak, Karşıyaka-Mavişehir and Kuşadası are the most preferred means of transportation to the airport.

Bus

In addition, if you want to go shopping you can visit the Old Bazaar, Gift Shops, Desa, Alsancak, Toyzz Shop, D&R, Samsonite, Simpark Tobacco Shop, Duty Free Shop and Setur stores.   

Passengers who want to spend time in the terminal can explore the exhibition at the TAV Gallery in the international departures hall or watch TV and connect to the internet while enjoying food and beverage service at the Comfort Lounge or Millenium Lounge.

Pisa, reminiscent of a seaside town, is a decent, bustling and small town, so it is very easy to explore on foot. You can also rent a bike, but you should be aware that the cobblestone streets can be quite crowded. When you get on the bus, you must be sure to validate your ticket on the devices inside. If you are traveling with a ticket that has not been activated, you can pay a high fine. The main bus stop is located at S. Antonio Square and the buses running between distances are leaving from here. Florence is only 60 kilometers from Pisa. The train is very comfortable and you can go to Florence in a short time. It departs many times during the day. Once you have received your ticket from the train station, you should definitely remember to validate your ticket before you board the train. Frequent checks are made during the travel, and if you are traveling with a non-validated ticket you will receive a penalty of approximately € 40.

Pisa International Airport is just 1 kilometers from the city center. For this reason, it is possible to reach the city center in a very short time. Bus

You can catch buses to the city center from bus stops at the airport terminal exit. Buses depart every 10 minutes. You can get your ticket either at the terminal or at the bus stop. One way ticket price is 1.20 euro.

Taxi

Taxis are waiting for customers in front of the airport arrival terminal exit door. Taxi transportation from the airport to the city center costs between € 6.50 and € 10.00. You can reach the city center and the main train station by taxi in less than 5 minutes. If you are traveling during the weekend, on public holidays or between 22:00 and 06:00, you will be charged an extra 2.50 euros.

Car Rental

At the airport there are offices of some car rental companies. From here you can rent a vehicle that suits your budget comfortably. If you wish, you can make your car ready when you arrive in Pisa by using the internet before your journey. Renting a car to explore the city center can be unnecessary in this small city if you only intend to stay in Pisa. On the other hand, you can go to the surrounding villages and towns with the car you rent and you can reach Florence easily in a short time. You must remember that you must have an international driver's license to be able to rent a car.

Likewise, some of the hotels in the city offer this service at a fee. You can easily reach the city center by using the private shuttle service between Pisa International Airport and the city center. Some shuttle service companies also provide transportation to centers such as Florence, Siena and Lucca.
