Located 12 km from the city center,  Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport, also referred to as Madrid-Barajas Airport, is the main airport in Madrid, serving both international and domestic flights. Madrid-Barajas Airport consists of 4 terminals, Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, and Terminal 4, which was built in 2006. Terminal 4 is the largest terminal in the airport and operates flights for many major airlines such as Turkish Airlines and American Airlines. It is an impressive structure with modern architecture that also features a satellite building, TS4. Terminal 1 is the airport’s oldest building and another major terminal. Many airlines take off and land at Terminal 1. Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 are smaller in comparison to the others. Terminal 3 is dedicated to flights operated by Lagun Air. There is an airport shuttle bus that runs 24 hours a day, providing inter-terminal transportation.

Internet at the airport is free for the first 15 minutes. In Terminal 4 you can connect to the internet by paying a fee. In Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3 you can connect to the internet in the departure lounges, VIP lounges, and restaurant area.

There are various VIP lounges located at the airport. The La Revoltosa and Premium lounges at Terminal 4, La Revoltosa lounge in Terminal 4S, Cibeles lounge in Terminal 1, Puerta de Alcala lounge in Terminal 2, and Puerto del Sol lounge in Terminal 3 are accessible for those with a Priority Pass card. You can take a taxi or rent a car to get from Liege Airport to the city center. For more economic transport options you can reserve a seat on the shuttle service with a previous reservation. Hertz and Europcar have rental offices in the airport. You can get to the airport with the your rental car in around 15 minutes by taking the E25 highway.

Taxi

Shuttle Bus  

You can get to the center by paying 5 euro per person for the airport shuttles bus services. However this is only possible if you make a reservation 5 days beforehand. If you don’t reserve 5 days, and decide at the last minute, then you will need to pay 7 euro per person. Bus

You can reach the city centre by taking the bus line 53 from in front of the airport. If you’re going to a different place in the city then you can take the bus line TEC-57 to the main train station and get there in around 25 minutes. You can get to many different places in the city from here. But you should remember that this line doesn’t operate on weekends or holidays. The price for a bus ticket is 2.10 euro.

Hotel Service

Some of the hotels or places offering accommodation in the city have airport shuttle services. It’s possible to take advantage of these services by making reservations beforehand. The cost is usually little more than the cost for taking a taxi.
