Bus

Operating under the Beauvais Tille Airport, these buses are the most convenient, fast, and economical means of transportation. Exit the Porte Maillot station in direction of Neuilly (Paris Convention Center), there you will see a large bus station across the street. Using the A16 autoroute you can reach the airport in 1 hour and 32 minutes, connecting to the A3 autoroute from the A16 makes the trip a bit longer, totaling 1 hour and 43 minutes, and the A1 autoroute takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Airport Information

Beauvais Tille Airport is located in Tille, 3.5 km northeast of the city of Beauvais. In 2015 Beauvais Tille Airport handled about 4.5 million passengers. The airport is generally used for charter flights and by low-cost airlines.

Thanks to the advanced and modern public transportation system, reaching Paris from this airport is relatively easy and inexpensive. The airport contains 2 terminals. The terminal buildings are closed between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am, so if you’re planning a layover in the middle of the night we suggest considering other alternatives.

The terminal building contains several restaurants, markets where you can find snacks, eating and drinking areas, souvenir shops where you can go shopping, free internet access, a smoking area, tourist information offices, and more. Major airlines that fly to this airport include Ryanair, Sterling, Blue Air, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Wizzair.

Charles de Gaulle Airport is accessible by taxi, bus, and train. In addition, you can also use a rental car or personal car. You can park in the parking lot for a certain fee. The airport is equipped with indoor and outdoor multi-story parking lots.

Train

There are two rail systems you can use to get from the city center to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The first one is the RER. You can purchase your RER ticket at the station. However, due to frequent strikes and the delays that they can cause, we recommend departing even earlier.

The next rail system is the TGV. This high-speed line connects several stations, like Lille, Strasbourg, Dijon, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Poitiers, Rennes, Toulon and even Brussels, to the TGV station located in terminal 2.  

Taxi

One of the most convenient and fastest ways to get to the airport from the city center is by taxi. Taxis provide services to every terminal at the airport. Bus

Another means of transportation to get to the airport from the city center is by bus. Using the Roissy Bus service, which is provided by the city of Paris, you can reach the airport without having to transfer anywhere. Bus

Another mode of transportation that you can use to reach Orly Airport from the city center is by bus, which is more affordable than taxis. Buses that provide service to and from the city center and the airport include Orlybus, Cars Air France, Bus 183, Val d’Europe Airports and Bus 91.10.  

Orlybus buses operate between Paris’s Denfert and Rochereau stops. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Bus line 183 operates between Orly Airport and the Porte de Choisy station. Bus line 91.10 operates between Orly Airport and the Massy-TGV station.

Cars Air France is more affordable compared to the others and operates 2 different buses on 2 different routes. The first route provides transportation between Gare Montparnasse, Invalides and Etoile stations and Orly Airport and the other route operates between Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airport.

In Ottawa, buses are very important in terms of public transportation. It is possible to reach almost every part of the city by bus. You can buy your ticket in cash after getting on the bus. You can also buy your ticket from one of the ticket offices or use Presto Card.

If you will stay in the city for a long time, using a Presto Card is both budget-friendly and practical. You can buy this card by paying 6 dollars. You can load money on your card online or from one of the ticket offices.

If you pay cash, you will need to pay a higher amount. For example, while one-way ticket price is 2 dollars per adult, it is 2.84 dollars for Presto Card holders and 3.55 dollars for cash payment. Another public transportation alternative in Ottawa is O Train. O Train, which is a light rail train system, offers service on two routes. One of them is between Blair and Tunney’s Pasture, the other is between Bayview and Greenboro. You can buy your ticket from the machines at the stations. You cannot get on O Train with your ticket bus. However, you can use both bus and O Train including the express lines with the daily DayPass ticket that you can buy by paying 8.30 dollars.

You can buy your DayPass ticket from the bus driver or machines at O Train stations. The use of bicycles is very common in Ottawa. Thanks to approximately 200 kilometers long bicycle roads spreading over the majority of the city, you can comfortably and safely get on a bicycle.

In the city, there are many self-service bicycle rental points. You can rent a bicycle for an affordable amount by using your credit card and end your rental process by delivering your bicycle at one of these points anytime you want. A fair amount of provision is added to your credit card in order to prevent any possible theft or damage.
