Link Light Rail

The Link Light Rail system is the most commonly used means of public transportation in Seattle. These light rail trains are a great transportation alternative to get to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. These trains provide transportation from downtown Seattle directly to level 4 of the airport parking lot. Trains operate every 7.5 to 15 minutes and take about 40 minutes to get to the airport. Monday to Saturday the Link Light Rail operates from 5 am to 1 am and on Sundays it operates from 6 am to midnight. Tickets can be purchased from kiosks at the station with cash or credit card.

Bicycle

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport features various bicycle resources for passengers who want to access the airport by bike. There are over 50 bicycle rental stations throughout the city that are a part of the city’s bike share system. Fees start at 8 USD. You can conclude your rental duration by simply locking the bike at the station at the airport. You can get to the airport by following the special bike paths and shared roadways. The airport features bicycle assembly stations, bicycle parking areas, and long-term storage areas.  

Hotel Shuttle Services

Many hotels located in Seattle provide their guests with airport shuttle services. To take advantage of this service make sure to discuss it with the hotel you are staying at in advance. Located 24 km from the city center, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, also known as Sea-Tac Airport, is the city’s primary airport that welcomes millions of passengers every year. You can get to the city center from Salt Lake City International Airport by taxi or shuttles, or you can rent a car and thus have a comfortable vehicle during your entire trip. If you prefer using means of public transportation, it is also possible to get to the city center by bus or tram.  

Taxi

There is a taxi stop just at the exit of the baggage claim area and the taxis offer their passengers to arrive in the city center in less than 15 minutes.

Shuttle

There are different companies at the airport offering shuttle service with a variety of vehicles. You can get detailed information from the shuttle service information desk at the arrival terminal of the airport. You are expected to pay a fare of around 25 – 30 dollars. 5 dollar extra is charged per person if the number of the passengers exceeds three.

Car Rental

10 different car rental companies have their offices at the ground floor of the car park of the airport. With the car you rent, you can reach the city center via I-80 E or W 400 S highways. The journey lasts about 12 – 15 minutes.

Bus

You can easily access the bus stops by using the exit located in front of the baggage claim line number 8. It is possible to reach the city center in a short time like 15 minutes with bus line 453. The buses serve only during the week and one way ticket costs 2,50 dollar.

Tram

You can reach the city center by taking the green tram line from the stop located at the southern exit of the terminal 1. Tram line operates between 05:47 – 23:27 during the weekdays; between 06:36 – 23:16 on Saturdays; and between 06:20 – 22:20 on Sundays. The intervals of the trams are 15 minutes during the weekdays and 20 minutes during the weekends. Single one-way ticket is 2,50 dollar.
