About Apatzingan
Apatzingán, by its full name Apatzingán de la Constitución, is one of the biggest cities in southern Mexico. Located in the Mexican state of Michoacán, the city is a developed agricultural town, covering a significant portion of Mexico’s exports of agricultural products.
The average year-round temperature in the city is around 30 degrees, making the production of tropical fruits and vegetables easier. Among the most important export products are lemon, mango, papaya, grapefruit, bananas, and pineapples. Apatzingán is the natural habitat of the roadrunner bird, from the Looney Tunes cartoons; therefore many local and foreign tourists head to the city to see the bird, as well as other historical structures.
Main tourist attractions in the city include the House of the Constitution, since the city is where the constitution was adopted in 1814, the historic city center, and buildings. The Pablo L Sidar National Airport, located 5 km west of the city, is the only airport in the city, located in the El Paraiso region.
