Guanghan, which has a population of 600 thousand, is a city located in Sichuan province, one of the 21 provinces of China. It is located 23 km of Chengdu, the capital of this province. The city is highly spoken as the backyard of Chengdu.
Guanghan, which has many famous historical ruins like Sanxingdui Ruins, is one of the important cities in terms of Chinese culture and history. During the excavations of Sanxingdui Ruins, which belongs to the Shu Kingdom that lived more than 4000 years ago, more than 10 thousand treasures were found. These rare treasures include items made of bronze, gold and marble, items like pots and pans, objects made of bone and ivory. These ruins and museum are the most commonly visited areas of the city since they reflect the rich culture of Sichuan Province having an old civilization. Guanghan Airport located in the city was once a military airport, but now it is used only for pilot training purposes. The closest international airport to the city is Shuangliu International Airport. The distance between this airport and the city center is about 28 kilometers.
