About Hola
Hola, which is a small town in Kenya, is located on the Tana River. The population of the Hola, the center of the Tana region, is about 7 thousand people according to the data obtained in 2000. There are Kenya prisons, regional hospitals and agricultural irrigation areas in Hola, which is a busy market town thanks to the canoe pier on the Tana River. After the latest elections, there is an administrative building in the city which became the headquarters of the Tana river region. There are three electoral districts in the city. These are Bura, Galole and Garden. Adios Camp is located in the city where the arrestees of the Hola massacre occurred in 1959 were kept. Oceanic climate is also effective in the city where the tropical humid climate is experienced.
