The country experiences various climate types across its regions, with Mediterranean in the north, oceanic in the west, continental in the central areas, and desert in the south. Casablanca, Morocco's largest city, has gained fame in numerous films and novels due to its stunning coastal views along the Atlantic Ocean. Following Casablanca, the capital city Rabat is another tourist attraction with its historical sites and museums. Marrakech, home to the country's largest traditional market known as Souk, and Fes, renowned for producing the world's finest ceramics, are among Morocco's most significant settlements.
