About Bemolanga

Located in the Noordbrabant district of the Netherlands in the south-western part of the country, Bergen Op Zoom is situated on the banks of the Zoom River  at the junction of the river with the Oosterchelde Canal. The city, which means "hills near the swamp" in Dutch, has a population of about 66, 000 people according to 2013 data. Having developed as a trade center in the 15th century, the city's modern economy relies on metalworking, machinery, confectionery and biscuit factories as well as fishing, oyster harvesting, and asparagus farming. There are also many historical remains in the city, which also houses one of Europe's biggest liquor factories. The Gevangenpoort Gate is among these structures as a reminder of medieval fortifications. Other attractions include the city hall, the Grote Kerk Church and the Makiezenhorf Palace, along with the Ravelin Burcu, which survives in the same way.
